Hi Anna,

Are you member of home exchange?

My name is Gail Sorensen and I live in Bend Oregon. I’m open to long term exchange of 1-3 months. I love to travel and explore new places just like all of you so I’m open to places I never even thought about. Right now, I’m zoning in on Kalispell or Whitefish, Montana; Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Alaska.
I usually travel solo but might have a brother or friend join me at times. I work remotely so continue to work while traveling. I have flexibility on most dates throughout the year.
My 2-bedroom home plus bonus room can host 5 adults comfortably with 2 queen beds and a queen air bed. I’m open to reciprocal or points exchanges.

“my project” –After 30 years in Bend I’m excited to spend more time away from the area and my project is to find a new place to live or have a lot of fun trying.

Seeking long-term exchanges in various European city centers — ideally one month, flexible

Lagos, Portugal → Europe · mid-July to late-September/early-October · Adults only

Hello, fellow home exchangers. Evanne and Ray here — a retired, active, and curious couple — offering our beachside townhouse in Lagos, Portugal in exchange for a European city experience.

What we’re offering

Our whitewashed Algarvian townhome sits within a 15-minute walk of the Lagos Historic Center and the celebrated beaches of Praia Dona Ana, Camilo, Porto de Mós, Ponta da Piedade — and, of course, the spectacular grottos. The neighborhood puts you close to everything while keeping the noise and crowds at a comfortable distance.

A note on the home itself: our three-story layout features staircases and open-level terraces — full of character, but best suited for adults. It is not the right fit for children or teenagers.

Where we want to go

We’re looking for city-center flats in European cities that are new to us. We’ve traveled widely across the continent over the years, so we tend to get excited about destinations off the well-worn capital-city circuit. Our current wish list includes Lyon, Ghent, Copenhagen, Budapest, Munich, and Milan — but we’re genuinely open. If you have a city to offer, we’d love to hear about it.

Lisbon is a special case: we’d welcome an exchange there in late spring or late fall/early winter, when it’s quieter and more local. If you’re a Lisbon exchanger with flexibility across seasons, let’s talk.

About us

We are published writers, photographers, videographers, and musicians — curious about the world, and committed to experiencing it with intention. We’re quiet, responsible, easy-going non-smokers who love good food, home cooking, local markets, and excellent coffee.

We bring a stellar track record to every exchange. As longtime users of Airbnb and Sabbatical Homes — mostly month-long stays, with a few shorter ones — our guest reviews are consistently 5-star, and we are always welcome back. The reason is simple: wherever we stay is where we live, and we take pride in caring for our surroundings.

Dates & flexibility

Our travel window runs from mid-July through late-September/early-October, ideally one destination per month. Duration is something we’re happy to shape around the right partnership — we’re not rigid about the calendar. If the fit is right, we’ll find a way to make it work.

Sound like a match?

Good homes and good people are the whole point.

We would love an exchange with digital nomads, empty-nesters, and curious couples (or four adults) that want to experience memorable seaside living in exchange for their European city-center home.

If that sounds like you, get in touch — we’d love to explore the possibilities.

Hi everyone!

I’m looking for a long-term home exchange, ideally reciprocal, for a stay of 21 days to a month, or even longer. My goal is to travel in a less touristy way and really soak up the daily life of the places I want to discover. Living like a local rather than just visiting is exactly what I’m after.

Preferred destinations: I’d love to explore Tokyo (Chiyoda), New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, Jersey City, Montréal, Toronto, and Hong Kong. I’m especially drawn to big cities in the USA for road trips and exploring different regions. That said, I’m totally open to other destinations that could be great, so feel free to reach out even if you’re somewhere not on the list!

My home: I can offer a really nice apartment in Nice, France. It’s a spacious, fully equipped 2 bedroom (65 m²) with a large 20 m² terrace, located in the lively Port district. It’s perfect for a couple, but can accommodate up to 4 people maximum thanks to a comfortable sofa bed in the living room. It’s also great for remote work thanks to high speed Wi-Fi and a quiet office space with a glass partition. Private parking is available, and a small city car can sometimes be offered on request.

Nice is a city I genuinely love. We get sunshine almost all year round, plus the beach, the mountains, and Italy just a short drive away, so there’s always plenty to do. It’s vibrant, easy to reach with its international airport, and honestly one of the best cities in France in my opinion.

About me: I’m a digital entrepreneur working mostly remotely between Nice and my travels. I love discovering new cities, cafés, restaurants and cultures, while keeping a calm and comfortable lifestyle. I’m a respectful, easygoing exchanger looking to connect with people who enjoy traveling differently.

Dates: Flexible, looking for stays of 21 days to a month or more.

Looking forward to connecting and making the HomeExchange magic happen!

Hi! Here’s our long term details:

  • We’d like to go to the UK, the closer to London the better for ease of access to continental Europe. We are located in SE Idaho, USA between multiple world class national parks.
  • 6 people (4 kids 3-13 yrs old)
  • 6 months - ideally Feb 2027 to Aug 2027
  • We want to give our kids a cultural experience outside of their own small-town American bubble - and not just as a short term tourist - before they get too old and busy to do anything like this!

Hi everyone!

We’re starting to look ahead to summer 2027 and would love to find a long-term reciprocal exchange in Italy, ideally Tuscany, for up to 3 months between July and September 2027.

What we’re looking for: We’d love to base ourselves somewhere with a real sense of everyday life rather than somewhere that feels purely tourist-focused. Ideally, we’re looking for a home with at least 2 bedrooms, in or on the outskirts of a village or small town, where cafés, shops, restaurants and local life are within walking distance. We’d like somewhere we can settle into for a while, get to know the area, and also use as a base for some exploring around Tuscany and nearby regions.

We’re particularly drawn to Tuscany, but we’d also be very happy to hear from people elsewhere in Italy if the location has the right feel: walkable, friendly, with a sense of community, and good for a slower, more local way of travelling.

Our home: We can offer our comfortable semi-detached home in Surbiton, southwest London, on a quiet residential street. It’s a bright, welcoming house with an open-plan downstairs and lots of natural light. We have a well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast island, double oven and plenty of crockery, cookware and appliances for anyone who enjoys cooking, as well as a comfy sitting area for relaxing.

Upstairs, there are two good-sized double bedrooms and a home office with a desk, office chair and monitors, which is ideal for remote working. The office can also be used as a third bedroom with a put-up bed. We also have a peaceful, secluded garden with bi-fold doors opening from the kitchen, plus a BBQ and table and chairs under a partially covered decking area at the back of the garden.

Surbiton is a great base if you want to enjoy London while staying somewhere quieter and more relaxed. We’re around a 25-minute walk, or a 7–8 minute bus ride, from Surbiton railway station, where fast trains to London Waterloo take from 18 minutes. In the other direction, there are trains to Hampton Court and Hampton Court Palace, and onward connections towards places like Guildford and Portsmouth.

We’re also a pleasant walk along the river, or a short bus ride, from Kingston upon Thames, which has lots of shops, cafés and restaurants. There are good local bars and restaurants in Surbiton itself, and we’re close to lovely green spaces including Bushy Park and Richmond Park. By car, there is easy access to the A3, and free on-road parking outside the house.

About us: We’re a respectful, reliable couple who enjoy travelling in a slower, more settled way. For this trip, we’re hoping to spend time living a little more like locals, improving our Italian, cooking, walking, exploring nearby towns, and enjoying day-to-day life in Italy rather than rushing around.

Dates: Flexible between July and September 2027, for anything from around 1 month up to 3 months. A simultaneous reciprocal exchange would be ideal.

We’d love to hear from anyone in Tuscany or elsewhere in Italy who might be interested in discussing a long-term exchange for summer 2027.

Looking forward to connecting!

Alicia & James

SWAP NL ↔ UK

Hello everyone!

I am looking to go to the UK for 2 months this summer/autumn. My apartment is located in Rotterdam, Netherlands, close to the city centre. I am mainly looking for reciprocal swaps.

What I’m looking for:

location & dates: Glasgow (August/ September) & London (September/ October)

length: around 4 weeks per city, starting and ending on Saturday/ Sunday/ Monday
travellers: just me + my cat
type of exchange: (partially) reciprocal

I am looking for a place that is accessible with public transport and has a desk and decent wifi so I can work from home. I don’t need to be in the same place for the full 4 weeks I’m in a city, but I would like to be in the same place at least 1-2 weeks at a time to avoid having to move too often.

I would like the exchange to be reciprocal, as I do not have enough GP to book such a long stay anywhere. However, I’m open to negotiating a (partial) non-reciprocal exchange as long as the GPs are not too much (especially if it’s for a longer period).

My home:

Very light and cosy place, ideal for 1 person or a couple. Lots of light, color, and plants. Fully set-up workspace, fully equipped kitchen, big couch with smart TV, queen-size bed, balcony.

Located in West-Rotterdam, a vibrant and multicultural part of the city. Walkable distance from the city centre, train station, shops, and cafés.

About me:

I am 28, originally from Belgium, and have lived in many different countries in the past 10 years. I am passionate about sustainability and love slow travel. I am a vegetarian, I don’t smoke, and I am a generally calm person. I am traveling with my cat, who is very well-behaved and a big cuddlebug!

I am excited to connect with someone who’s interested in this swap!

Kind regards,

Marisa
