🌿 What if we made a little space for biodiversity at home?

Hey community :shamrock:

I wanted to share an article we really love at HomeExchange:
:backhand_index_pointing_right:7 ideas to support biodiversity in your garden or on your balcony

It’s practical, full of good advice, and above all, a great reminder that we can all play our part in supporting nature , even if you only have a balcony or a windowsill. :cherry_blossom::honeybee:

Have you already implemented any biodiversity-friendly ideas at home?

We’d love to hear your suggestions, see your photos, or discover other tips you’ve tried that aren’t mentioned in the article.

Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! :speech_balloon:

Hi @Eya.HomeExchange what a great article! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. So many helpful tips. We have planted lots of lavender which is SO easy to maintain and the bees love it. I was worried about lots of bees near our outdoor eating area but they don’t bother us at all - they are too interested in all the lovely pollen  :honeybee: We have also unintentionally created a real wildlife jungle in the ‘organized mess’ of garden waste at the bottom of our garden too. We now have a resident wild rabbit :rabbit: . Also one of the best decisions when building our house was to fit a rainwater harvesting system. It’s amazing! The rainwater collects in a huge underground tank and it is pumped back to our house for use in toilets/washing machine and outdoor taps.
