I have received a message on WhatsApp like this:
Hi myname ! This is name from home exchange!
I’m guessing some kind of scam?

It depends on the rest of the message. As an ambassador, I help newbies find their way on the site and help answer their questions. I’m not exaclty sure how, but new members can let know if they want to be approached by message through the platform, or by phone. In the latter case, me and my colleagues send a WhatsApp message offering our help. So if it’s a message containing information about the sender that is only offering to help and you’re not asked to go anywhere or give money or click on a link or anything, it may be an ambassador trying to help.
So, only based on what you’re posting, I can’t say for sure it’s a scam.
Is it a name of some future exchange?
It was a host from a future exchange – I figured it out when they messaged in HE app as well. oops.
