Greetings Community, first time on the Forum.
We recently received a poor review from a host and would like to reply. The HE procedure is to send a 500 character (not word) response and they will post it.
Any advice? Where will the response be seen? Trying to be an upstanding member of the HE community, but our perfect all 5’s record just got tarnished!
Welcome to the Forum. I’m sorry to hear that you have received a poor review from a host. If you think this is a genuine mistake (i.e. you were given lower stars but a lovely write up), then please do feel free to reach out to the host. However yes please so feel free to write a response and this will also be published on your listing (provided you keep within the guidelines).
I think it appears just below their review. I would just be to the point but nice about inaccuracies. I wish I had known the reply part earlier as someone came to my house and commented poorly on the parking giving incorrect info. I have to always correct this even though it was in the description. Remember it is their impression but also how you respond will be the impression of you that appears on your profile so you are writing more for people who will host you in the future.
