This is not exactly related but it appears to be very guest point centric. We have arranged 2 reciprocal exchanges in 2025 and the site immediately calculates a guest point exchange when there should be no guest points assigned. I’ve had to contact HE twice to resolve these issues. Is Home Exchange.com become fixated on guest points over actual home exchanges? If so, they should change their mandate to a guest point exchange platform, not a true house exchange platform.
For reciprocal exchanges it’s just a settings but yes 80% of exchanges are made with guestpoints. It’s also home exchanges so the name won’t change ![]()
I LOVE the new four day rule.
Anyone who needs more time to have a think about whether they’re interested just need to spend a minute sending a simple message asking for a few more days to decide.

There are actually now 2 four day rules - I hope this isn’t too confusing. So there is a 4 days rule which says you need to reply to an enquiry message within 4 days (which I think is the one you are referring to). But there is also the 4 day rule that this post is referring to which says you have 4 days to finalise a pre-approval. So when someone agrees to host you and you are sent a pre-approval, you must reply within 4 days or that pre-approval is no longer valid.
