New filter

I want a filter that allows me to exclude families with more members than the number of beds I have specified in my profile. For example, if I have indicated 3 beds, I don’t want to be matched with families of more than 3 people, as I wouldn’t have sleeping space for all of them."

Thank you for your suggestion, however i’m not too sure what you mean. The filters are available when you carry out a search for a home.

What I would like is the following. If I have specified that I have 3 sleeping spaces, I would like an option to exclude families with more than 3 members, since I don’t have sleeping spaces for more than 3.

I hope this makes sense. If it is already possible, could you please let me know how I can do this?

When a member does a search they must enter into the search the number of people in their group: the amount of adults and the amount of children. If your home listing states that it only sleeps 3 people, then it would not appear in the search results for a family of 4 for example. You need to make sure that your listing says that your home can only accommodate 3 people.

That’s silly. What if the whole family don’t travel all the time. We are 8 but I often travel with 5 or 6 and two adult kids stay at our other homes. When I arrange a house swap 1 year in advance I often don’t know which of my adult children might come.

Would you be happy to be excluded because you only have three beds?

A family in Manhattan, NY writes to me with a three bedroom loft apartment worth five million dollars but they only have 6 beds and a sofa. They want my 7 bedroom house 1 hour outside London with double the floor area and 20 times the amount of land. They ask if two of my kids can share a bed.

I would bite their hand off.
