To what extent is it possible to have negative guest points? Seems it is possible to reimburse GP when the time frame of an already finalised exchange becomes shorter upon modification request, even when your GP balance gets negative then. Is there a limit to that? And can I actually make an exchange request on GP basis, if my GP balance would ( temporarily) become negative?

If a member uses more GuestPoints than they have earned, their balance can become negative. This only happens in very exceptional circumstances for example when changes are made to an exchange (as per the example you have given). While a negative balance can temporarily occur, HomeExchange does not allow members to have a permanent negative balance. If a member’s balance is negative, they will need to earn more GuestPoints by hosting to bring their balance back to zero. You wouldn’t be able to make a GP exchange request until your balance is positive again.
