A member inquired about an exchange for his daughter and friends

A member from Italy inquired about an exchange for his daughter and friends. I assume that the member will not be present during the exchange. I am a bit uncomfortable with that. What do you suggest

If the daughter is over 18 and is still permanently resident in her father’s home then she can benefit from his account. However you should only arrange exchanges that you feel comfortable with.

My grown up kid did it many times.
Grown Up is well trained especially about the cleaning.
Now there is some good reviews to show to the members and they are confortable to exchange.

We are very clear about the cleaning and the respect of the house rules.

Next exchange : A simultaneous exchange of a full academic year for Grown Up in Berlin :star_struck:

On our side we had no request for kids on HE but we already rent to students on another website.
It was all fine.

Personally I would only do exchanges where the person that is a member, but it is ok of course for members that want to.

The one thing that is important is to do exchanges we are comfortable with. I feel that is important. Of course it could be a gut feeling trying to tell you something, but even if it isn’t I don’t need that anxiety, and the anxiety could impact the success of the exchange.

Welcome to the Forum! :slight_smile: So just to be clear about the rules - if the members daughter still lives at home with the member, then she can benefit from the parents membership even if the parents aren’t on the exchange with them. They do need to be over 18 though. If the daughter no longer lives in the family home then she cannot benefit from the membership and she will need her own. Hi!! We had a bad experience with that. The daughter of the owner of the account (she was in her 20s) showed up with her partner and I assume bcs they were not responsible enough they left things dirty and also they messed our sofa.. I would not do the exchange when the responsible of the account does not come, at all.
