I recently received a request to help a family with their child’s student accommodation.
They were hoping for a 6-8 week stay and could either give us guest points
I was very open to the idea as we could potentially help. Something felt a little off though.
What do people think???
Hello. I edited your comment to avoid talking about rental. It’s possible and allowed if the student is adult (+18) only.

So that’s not allowed
If the kid is above 18 years old and usually lives with the parents, he can be hosted.
My grown up kid will stay 9 months abroad to study and her host will stay in our student appartment.
It is a 9 months reciprocical exchange.
My kid already has 2 good reviews so it helps.
She’s 17. Google Gemini red flagged the whole thing and has now totally spooked me. So I’ve declined the opportunity. Annoying as I really like to help people out but the potential pitfalls are not something I can entertain
