Could anyone offer me some advice? Iâve been trying to resolve the issue below with the HomeExchange support team, but after receiving an unconvincing explanation, I unfortunately havenât received any further reply.
Our response rating has been set on âlowâ , even though a year ago we had clearly indicated: our house was not available for the time being and that I did not want to receive any requests in my inbox.
As far as I know, we had set this up fully in accordance with the platformâs rules. We were surprised to discover that our response score was nevertheless negatively affected by the new rule, which may make potential members less likely to send a request.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is it possible to have the rating adjusted anyways, for example back again to âresponsive in 1â2 daysâ? Or does anyone know which team or contact person I should approach to resolve this issue?
Hello. If you didnât wanted requests, you should have put your listing completely offline for this period. Just writing it doesnât block unwanted requests.
I may help you with that, please just copy here your listing link or id number.
Thank you for your reply and for offering to help. I didnât realize that the correct way to avoid unanswered requests and a low response rate was to put the listing completely offline. I thought marking the house as unavailable and indicating that I didnât want to receive requests would be sufficient.
Thanks for clarifying this â thatâs helpful to know for the future.
My listing code is edith-4329e. It would be wonderful if you could help resolve the low response rate.
Thanks again for your help â I really appreciate it.
You are not obliged to put your listing offline.
As a matter of fact, it is impossible to turn if off if there are future exchanges planned.
There is a blocking message.
If the house is not available, you can close your calendar + set up in âContact Preferencesâ > Members can only send me requests when my home is marked as being available
their requested dates should be within a block of availability.
Be careful, in spite of this set up which works well , sometimes the setting is disabled !
You discover it in receving request whereas the dates are not available!texte en gras
Thank you for your reoply.
Yes, thatâs what I thought and actually did⌠I thought that would be enough and not influence my response rate. However it turned out differentlyâŚ
Yes, after responding to many requestsâone of which led to a confirmed exchangeâour response rating is back to âExcellent,â just as it was before. Iâm sure this will give future guests more confidence to send an exchange request.
Thanks for the support
