I have done a couple and they have worked well. Insurance companies don’t love hearing about them but you can use the same assumption if a friend was driving your car “If someone else is driving your car and another person causes the accident, the at-fault driver’s insurance is usually responsible for covering costs . On the other hand, if the driver of your car is at fault, your car insurance will usually cover damages.”
Yes, I researched this with my insurance company and they said we are covered for a temporary driver driving with our permission. Thanks for your reply! Very encouraging.
