[NEW] - April 2024: Minimum number of nights - update your listing!

Hello dear HomeExchangers,

In case you haven’t noticed it yet, we have now a new feature on the site in response to numerous requests from community members!

If you’re one of the members who don’t wish to host for less than x nights, you can now add this information to your listing!
We’ve seen many of you complaining that some searches are difficult because you had to read the whole listing before realizing that the member doesn’t accept exchanges for less than X nights.

How does it work?
By setting your listing to “minimum 3 nights”, for example, members looking for an exchange of one or two nights will still be able to see your listing in the search results, but the information about your minimum number of nights will be clearly shown to them.

Following many calls and surveys conducted with members, we’ve understood from them and thus decided to not completely block the members concerned by preventing them from appearing in the search, as it appears that some members still sometimes accept shorter stays.

How to set up your listing if you want to indicate a minimum number of nights?
If you are one of the members who prefer not to host below a certain number of nights, go to your calendar on the platform and go to: My account, My home, Availability of your home. There, just above the calendar, you’ll see the new option.

Note: as indicated, you’ll need to go to the website (it’s not yet available on the apps) to set this new criteria, if applicable.

Take advantage of this new feature in your searches!

As soon as enough members have set up their listing with this new information, you’ll be able to quickly identify, in your search results, those members who require a minimum number of nights to stay with them.

This should make your search for the perfect swap even easier! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
