As you might have seen, on Monday, starting December 30, some accounts impersonating HomeExchange attempted to contact a few of you through our messaging platform, redirecting to a fraudulent external site. These messages were aimed at obtaining banking information.
Important Reminder: HomeExchange will never ask you to pay to unlock your account or direct you to a site that isn’t ours.
Thanks to the swift action of our teams, who mobilized immediately despite the holiday season, these fraudulent accounts have been removed, and our security protocols have been strengthened. Suspicious messages are being identified and deleted as we find them. If you received one of these messages, it may already have been removed by our team.
To continue strengthening the safety of our community, we need your help:
- Never share your login details or personal information.
- Be cautious of urgent or unusual messages.
- If you receive a suspicious message, report it to our team and block the sender.
