We’re new to HE and have just hosted our very first guest this month!
We’ve discovered that our home insurance policy only covers UK residents, and we would need to pay over £500 to extend the policy to cover non-UK residents, which seems quite impractical.
We understand that HE provides some insurance coverage, but it doesn’t cover major incidents such as fire. We were wondering how other UK HE members deal with this? Do you rely solely on HE’s insurance, or do you have separate home insurance that covers home exchanges with non-UK guests?
Any advice or experience would be much appreciated!
