Hi there, I’m not sure this is the right place for this but I have emailed guest services and wasn’t given an answer. I’m just curious if the limit for only referring 10 people to get the bonus guest points could ever be removed now that they have launched their influencer program where influencers get unlimited bonus referrals. I’ve recently hit my 10 person limit, and I will gladly keep sharing and trying to get my friends to join as I love home exchange and think its so beneficial. I feel like now that I know other people are able to consistently get more points it just feels a little biased that regular people couldn’t. We only exchange our primary house so those extra 250 points feel like gold to us! Again, I will continue to share and I love the platform, I just feel like this new program feels very unfair that some peoples referrals are worth more than others. I don’t even mind the program, I think its fair to offer people more benefits if they’re able to grow the platfrom much more effectively than someone like me- I just don’t think that my referrals should count as less than theirs.
Firstly thank you for referring so many of your friends to our community It is great that you are so passionate about HomeExchange and that you want to share this way of travelling with others. You obviously have a large network, I wonder if you could perhaps apply for the influencer scheme yourself? Can I suggest that you add this thought to our ‘Suggestions Box’ section. Then other members can vote on this idea. I will certainly feed back your thoughts to the team.
Oh I can absolutely add it, thank you so much! I definitely don’t have the following for the influencer program haha, I’m just a pushy friend
I did not know there was such a program but it will make me more leary of requests. I really wouldnt want to hostsomeone who joins HE as an influencer.
A large number of any influencers/content creators who work with HomeExchange are actually already active members - they are just very passionate about exchanging and want to spread the word. So please do not worry
Are they allowed to influence posting videos of your home? without your consent?
No no! I actually post videos on my own Instagram all the time and just ask. I’m not against the influencer program at all, I think if they’re making content to help spread the love of home exchange that it’s totally fair to get some benefit for that! I just figured everyone should at least get the chance to benefit from their own referrals in the same way
No this would not be allowed. Any content created inside of someones home would need to have permission from the homeowner.
