Hi everyone!
Just wondering how long I should expect to wait for a host for an upcoming GP exchange to respond to my message? I reached out with a few questions 10 days ago, no response. I reached out again 4 days ago and still have not heard back. It’s not urgent but we need to make a slight change to our dates and not hearing back makes me feel a bit uneasy as we approach our exchange in less than 3 weeks.

I’m sorry to hear that you have struggling to get in touch with your host. As your exchange is coming up soon, you should have the contact details for your exchange partner. Have you tried contacting them directly via their mobile contact number provided and/or their email address? Melissa.HomeExchange gave you a good advice.
It never happened to me to have my guest not responding.
However, last year 2 of my hosts contacted me by whatsapp directly.
It is easy to use. You know if your message was read by the other party.
And a group can be created with the members of the exchange.
However, the best practice is to go on using HE mailbox so HE can understand what is going on if necessary.
Hi Melissa- I’m curious what is considered unresponsive on HE? Ie how long should I wait until I contact admin to get them to reach out to the host? For context, our exchange (which is abroad so we have flights etc) is in just over 2 weeks. I contacted the host via the HE platform almost 2 weeks ago, again a week ago and then sent an email a few days ago and still have not heard back.

If you arrive in 2 weeks, you can reach the support now.
The host must tell you the procedure to get the key.
And if something has happened to the host, you must know it.
