I think the improvements on response rates is good. 4 days is a bit tight for those of us who only use our laptops to email replies, because sometimes I am away from my laptop for a few days but it is a good step.
What I would like to see cracked down on is caledars that are greyed out all the time. I assume those people are still paying for their memberships but are completely inactive. Even if there was a way to exclude them from a search I would appreciate that. No one that has a grey calendar should have the privilege of being on a search at all. It is so frustrating to people looking for a place, when you go to the calendar and the people obviously don’t want to participate in any exchanges at all.
Thanks,
Nancy
I’ve put your suggestion in suggestion box category
Thanks!
Speaking as a grey calendar person that is fine with me but most of the recent requests I have accepted are for grey days. I live by the beach in the summer and most of the time we stay but if I get an interesting proposal I will accept it. If I am going away I will open it for the long weekend. I don’t know what the future holds and who will be living with me so I can’t put fall and winter exchanges on the calendar now. I do also give a fair number of no’s but so do people with open calendars I imagine. I think your proposal would be a disadvantage to requestors. Not everyone is a months long exchanger or planner. Some casually share their homes on an occasional basis. I think if those requests disappear it less problem for me than a searcher.
