Dear all, we are a young couple from Berlin who can both work remotely. In this spring, we would like to discover Rome over a long exchange. Our dates are flexible. It would be great to have a reciprocal exchange, though we can also consider a shorter guest-point-based exchange. Berlin is always worth to visit, especially for those who are driven with history. However in spring, the city hosts several exciting festivals that are quite popular which makes the deal charming. Here is our place, please feel free to connect with us: Alexandra and Koray's flat
Dear skorayd ,
What a wonderful project!
In addition to post your search on the italian forum (if not done yet), may I share a few tips to give your search a better chance of success?
1/ Set a minimum duration in your listing : for example, 90, 120 or 180 days.
This will appear in the search results and immediately draw attention to your listing, showing that you are looking for a long-term exchange.
2/ Write the title in the language of the country you are looking for = Italian.
Exemple : Scambio di lunga durata Berlino - Roma. Minimo 2 mesi.
3/ At the beginning of the text, describe what you are looking for and state the date your flat is available and whether you are open to non-simultaneous reciprocal exchanges.
4/ Open the calendar dates over several months so that your advert appears in searches by people looking for a long-term exchange = This is done in your listing.
5/ In your favorite destinations, describe your project. Instead of āAny dateā .
Have a great stay!
What great plans!
Also some helpful tips from @Nathalie1 Iād just like to also suggest using reverse search too if your looking for members in Rome who are looking to stay in Berlin: https://help.homeexchange.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000730557-What-is-reverse-search-and-how-do-I-use-it
Will doāthank you for the suggestions. I would also like to propose an additional feature for the app. It would be very helpful to introduce a tag or filter such as ādigital nomadā or ālong-term exchangerā for users who are open to extended exchanges, similar to a second residence. This would significantly improve targeting and matching for users seeking long-term exchange opportunities. I am having difficulties in finding those people although there should be many.
@Melissa.HomeExchange please see my suggestion. To motivate the users, those who apply for the batch, may even receive additional points in their first long exchange. i.e. over 30 days.
Ciao carissimi,
. Ć ammesso usare lāAI naturalmente
Comunque il titolo mi sembra molto chiaro, good luck!
Long term exchange (tag 14) and working remotely tags already exist.
It is in your profile > Manage my groups.
As far as i know, they are totally useless!!!
Thank you for you reply Nathalie. Unfortunately, It is the first time I hear about the group option. Now I am part of it, but not even sure how I should connect with those. Staying in a group, I understand, requires constant effort, so that one can monitor the group. I believe it serves more to an aim to connect with people, rather than finding out a long exchange. I think a filter could really work out if it is also rolled out through a good marketing that incentivize those that are utilizing. Happy to support the team if needed.
When doing a search > filters > groups (only groups you tagged appear).
So if you filter on the tag 14 for instance, only listings of members who are in the group 14 will show up.
BUT many members of this group donāt want to exchange many months. They are in the group 14 because they can do a 3 weeks exchange.
Tags are not understood in the same way.
There are some conversations asking for a real long term exchange tag (> 1 month) because, as you said, itās missing.
Right now it is the same tag for long holydays ( 2- 3 weeks) and real long term exchanges.
Retired people, abroad students and remote workers can be interested in a several months exchange.
