A few days ago, Delphine, a French HomeExchanger, shared this wonderful story with us:
“I spent a few days at C’s second home. Her last name sounded familiar because, back in the late 2000s, I used to babysit for a family with the same name.
Once the exchange was over, I dared to ask her if, by any chance, there were people in her family with the same first names as the children I used to know—and boom, yes! The very same kids, are now all grown up and in their twenties. She sent me a lovely family photo with young adults I never would have recognized, which made me feel like I had just aged 15 to 20 years in an instant.
It’s a small world, and Home Exchange shows us that every day.”
This story, along with the comments that followed—sharing other similar experiences—really touched our whole team. So much so that we thought, “Hey, what if we collected all these beautiful stories on our blog?”
Call for stories
So, if you’ve also reconnected with someone from your past through a home exchange, we’d love to hear your story—if you’re happy for us to share it.
Thanks in advance!
