And you know what that means… time for a little tip to help you become a home exchange pro!
Today, we’re focusing on travel wishlists!
What are travel WISHLISTS for?
They help you in two ways:
1. Find the exchange you’re looking for in your dream destination
The Travel Wishlist function allow you to receive an email alert whenever a new home that matches your criteria is added to HomeExchange in your chosen destination. It’s a great way to find your next exchange!
2. Find a reciprocal exchange
By adding your travel plans to your Travel Wishlist, your home will appear in the search results of members who are looking for a reciprocal exchange (to see who might want to visit their area).
For example, if you add Bilbao to your travel wishlist, HomeExchange members in Bilbao who search for people interested in visiting their area may discover your home.
How to add TO your travel WISHLIST
There are two ways:
1. From the search page
Start a search and select your preferred criteria. On the results page, click “Save this destination”. You’ll be able to find this search anytime in your account:
My account > Travel wishlist
2. From the “Travel wishlist” page
My account > Travel wishlist
A few tips to make the most of this feature
Review your travel wishlist regularly to make sure they’re still up to date — including your dates!
Be specific: add a city rather than a country. If you’re looking for an exchange in a very small town, it’s often better to add the nearest major city or the wider region.
If you already know your dates, make sure to add them for each destination so you receive the most relevant alerts.
Don’t hesitate to add details about your search in the dedicated description field.
