Searching apartment or room in NY 15>22 july 2026

:sun_with_face: Hello everyone!

I’m new to HomeExchange and excited to discover the spirit of sharing that makes this community so special!

I’m looking for an apartment, studio, or even a room in New York from July 15th to July 22nd, in exchange for my Paris apartment. It has two bedrooms with two double beds and is ideally located near Père Lachaise, in a lively and well-connected neighborhood.

I’m also open to GuestPoints offers, as I’m just getting started on the platform and haven’t had the opportunity to complete my first exchange yet.

I’m a respectful, careful, and considerate traveler, and I will take great care of your home as if it were my own. This first HomeExchange experience means a lot to me, and I would be delighted to begin this adventure thanks to your trust.

If you have availability during those dates, or know someone who might be able to host me, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’d be happy to connect and exchange with you!

Thank you very much, and I look forward to hearing from you

Hello @CoralieH ,

To make it easier for other members to contact you, I would suggest adding a link to your home. Without it, it is difficult for people to see what you are offering and decide whether to get in touch.

That said, I doubt that many New Yorkers browse the forum looking for travelers to stay in their apartments. If I were you, I would focus on contacting them directly instead. Take the time to read each listing carefully and tailor your message to each home and host. This will significantly increase your chances of receiving a positive response.

That being said, if you are new to the platform, have no reviews yet, and are looking for an exchange next month, it is important to be realistic: your chances of finding an exchange in New York City are fairly limited. In your position, I would book a hotel with free cancellation as a backup plan. I would also recommend broadening your search beyond New York City itself to include places such as New Jersey, Hoboken, Newark, and other nearby towns with good train connections into Manhattan.

I wish you the very best of luck with your search and, above all, many happy and successful home exchanges in the future.
