Looking for a swap in the summer of 2026
Us: Groningen, The Netherlands 
You: home in mountainous area in Europe
What we offer:
- home with 5 bed rooms, 7 places to sleep (1 bed 160*200 cm, 1 bed 140*200 cm, 3 beds 90*200 cm)
- modern kitchen with all the things you might need, including a tap that provides boiled water instantly
- smart tv, good WiFi in the whole house
- toys for children like Playmobil, Lego, many cars (mainly from Cars) and a very large wooden train set with many locs of Thomas the Train
- a (mainly terraced) cozy garden
- an exchange with experienced home exchangers with good reviews. I am a HomeExchange ambassador, who helps newbies with their questions. I would be coming with my husband and two sons, and, if you’d allow us and if our sons get (a) serious girlfriend(s), we would like to take her/them. This would be communicated at least a month before the swap
- personal tips about what to do in the city and the environment, based on your ages, interests and how far you’d like to travel to see something interesting.
Groningen offers something for people with all kinds of interests. Visit our city if you like:
- to do cultural things. Eat Dutch things like stroopwafels, drop and frikadellen; see the inside of a mill; visit musea; walk through our beautiful canal city; see street art; climb the Martini tower, etc.
- biking. You can use all our bikes. We have got at least 3 for adults and 4 for children, in various sizes
- nature. We know all the best hiking places!
- animals. There’s a children’s farm around our corner. Within an hour drive, there are three zoos. At one, you can wrap a snake around your neck! 
You can see seals in their natural environment. If you like bird watching, we can tell you where to go
- lakes. There are plenty in our environment, including a small one (maybe more a pond) with an artificial beach where you can go to swim. You can take our beach material for playing in the sand
- sports. You can do things like swimming, climbing, cart racing, mini golf, canoeing, etc
- doing things with your children, like going to fun parks, a fairy tales park, glow jungle golfing, play with all the toys we have, etc.

What we’re looking for:**
- quiet home in mountainous area in Europe (preferable no more than a 12 hour drive from our city)
- 3 bed rooms, at least 4 places to sleep for adults, prefer 6
- smart tv and WiFi through the whole home
- preferably a garden
- flexible period, somewhere between the 4th of July and the 16th of August 2026
- minimum of 10 nights, maximum of 3 weeks (the longer, the better)
- we love cats, so if you have a cat, we would love to take care of it!
And if you have a dog, we can talk about you taking her if it’s well behaved.
