We’re a family of six based near Zurich, Switzerland, and we’re planning to spend about a year in Ireland starting in summer 2026 (possibly longer). We’re currently looking for a family who might be interested in a long-term home exchange.
We know this is a bit different from the usual short stays, but perhaps there’s someone here who is considering spending time in Switzerland — for work, a sabbatical, or simply a change of scenery.
We live in a quiet, family-friendly area in a more rural setting near Zurich. Our home has 3 bedrooms plus an office, space for up to 6 people, a garden and a balcony. The train station is just a 5-minute walk away, with a direct connection to Zurich (around 35 minutes).
As an additional bonus, there is also the possibility to use our holiday apartment in the Swiss Alps — great for skiing in winter and for hiking or biking in summer and autumn (best suited for shorter stays).

May i suggest some tips in order to make your listing clearer for a long term exchange as we had the same challenge :
1/ We set a minimum duration in our listing : 90 days as we were opened to long term exchanges but aware that finding a 9 months exchange would be tricky. Maybe some remote workers could be interested in…
This information appears in the search results and immediately draw attention to listings available for a long-term exchange.
2/ We wrote our search in the title in the language of the desired country = German.
So even before clicking on the listing, it shows that we are really looking for a long term exchange in Berlin.
3/ At the beginning of the text, we described what we were looking for and willing to accept a simultaneous or non-simultaneous reciprocal exchanges and the date our studio was available as members maybe interested in a non simultaneous exchange.
4/ We opened the calendar of the studio over several months so that the listing can appear in searches by people looking for a long-term exchange => you did it.
5/ In your favorite destinations, we described your project => you did it.
