πŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ Lesser-Known Travel Inspirations in Germany – Share Your Discoveries!

One of the countless advantages of HomeExchange is that it allows you to travel absolutely anywhere, since HomeExchangers are everywhere.

This thread is for those who want to go off the beaten track β€” either because they care about fighting overtourism, or simply because they want to discover lesser-known destinations.

Share Your Discoveries!

For this new edition, I suggest we focus on Germany.

So, I invite you to share here the lesser-known destinations in Germany that you’ve enjoyed, for one reason or another, and explain what you liked about them. Feel free to share your tips and favorite addresses at the same time!

Do you live yourself in a lesser-known destination in Germany? Tell us why it’s worth a visit: What is there to do or see? Beautiful walks? Scenic bike rides? An unusual museum or quirky place? Make us want to come! (You can even share the link to your HomeExchange listing if you’d like.)

I exchanged in DΓΌsseldorf area in 2016 and loved it. And last winter in Karlsruhe area, which was great for Christmas markets after Christmas !

I’d love to visit a proper Christmas market! They have them here in the UK, but I feel like they probably aren’t anywhere near as good as the German ones…

The ones of Strasbourg are also great, we had a chance to exchange there in 2022 : Quelques jours Γ  Strasbourg avant NoΓ«l - Alsace - Forums Routard.comQuelques jours Γ  Strasbourg avant NoΓ«l - Forum Alsace - Forums Routard.com
