I have my home insurance from Liberty Insurance in Ireland. After a lot of back and forth, they have said they do not allow home exchanges (it’s not stated in their policy docs - just verbal confirmation from the broker - Chill.ie), which is frustrating. Can anyone let me know which home insurance providers do allow home exchanges? Looking forward to switching providers and start some home swapping! Many thanks

This is a very common question that members have. Have you tried using the search function to read about previous suggestions? Click on the magnifying glass on the top right. From personal experience it is tricky because not all insurance companies seem to understand the concept of HomeExchange. Ours simply said that it wasn’t any different to letting friends stay, and they preferred it to our house being left empty!
Thanks Melissa, yeah I have tried to search through existing threads, but could not find a direct answer. Very keen to understand from other Irish users which insurance companies they use that actively allow home exchange.

From my personal experience I have found that insurance companies don’t like to give an exact answer. Ours simply said that they preferred the idea of friends being in our home rather than it sitting empty.
