What are “Invites” ?
What are “chats”?
These appear on some screens of the forum but it’s not clear to me what they are or do.
Is it a way to contact specific members or a group of members directly as in, for example, facebook messenger?

Chats are just for when members wish to talk about a subject that isn’t in a particular category ( eg a place they’ve visited). I’m not sure where you’ve seen invites, I cant find it.

Here is a screen capture of my “My Posts” screen of the forum. There is a tab called “Invites”.
When I click there, it says there are no invites.
Nowhere do I see a place in the forum where there is an "invite: function.
Click on ’ invites’ on the tight you should see +invites, create a link to invite friends to forum
