How early do you think is reasonable to request an exchange? We have been on HE for 15 years and love the whole concept. We live in Perth Australia so to get the best deals on flights - particularly to Europe - we need to book really early ie 11 months out. I’m trying to find an exchange (any type) in early July 2025 near Montpellier in France. I’ve sent out a few requests but it seems I’m jumping the gun. How far in advance do you make an exchange request?
I think you’re right, such a trip needs to be organized one year before. You can post your link in french forum, we can help you to find a place in Montpellier (with HE facebook groups for example)
