How comfortable is your bed?

The older I get, the more I appreciate a comfortable bed. When I was younger I didn’t care in the slightest, I spent years travelling around India (and other countries) and was perfectly happy sleeping on the floor.

For some reason I’ve become fussy. Not complaining but so far, HE beds we’ve slept in we’ve found uncomfortable in one way or another.. hot memory foam, synthetic sheets, pillows that are either like rocks or offer no support at all.. etc. I’m even thinking of taking my own pillow away with me now, something I used to laugh at my mum for doing!

You can’t tell from the photos of the bed and comfort level is subjective, but hotels generally seem to get it right. And considering you probably spend more time in the bed than anywhere else in the home, it’s a pretty important part of the stay.

So I’m curious, how comfortable do you think your bed is? And, do you leave bedding for guests that isn’t as comfortable as what you use yourselves, or do you make sure your guests get the same level of comfort that you expect from your own bed?

I personally leave the same bedding that I use out for guests. I have not found bedding when visiting uncomfortable myself. For me/us, bed size is the issue. My partner and me need at least 160cm width, so specifying this and finding this information is always important to me.

What’s wrong with taking your pillow ?

I do it myself. A 20 years old thing which had made the war.
I put it under my … when seating in the plane.
For me , this poor old thing is the best.

Anyone else would hate it.

Agree with you. Foam and synthetics are hot and unconfortable.
