We have been active HE’rs for a bit over 2 years, have completed 8 exchanges and have 3 more booked. We love the program and have been saving our points up for a trip to the UK next August.
I’ll be travelling in a group of 6 adults and have been finding it difficult to secure a place in Edinburgh, we have booked tickets for the Tattoo. I’ve tried reaching out to people in Edinburgh and within about 30 mins of Edinburgh by train.
Is it just not a good time to try and exchange with guest points? I’ve messaged about 30 people and most reply very quickly, sorry but no.
Any suggestions? Hints or tips? What areas would be best to access Edinburgh by train if we go further afield.
I wish you could mark homes you’ve looked at but are not suitable so they disappear or are flagged in some way. Lots have no dates available at all, I wonder why?

Hi Pat and Kylie, I am sorry you’re having trouble finding a place in Edinburgh. As far as I can imagine, I think lots of people want to go there when they’re visiting the UK. Also, many families don’t know their holiday dates until January, so that’s a reason why calendars could be blanc.
You can post here, that you’re searching for a home; but in a way, you already have. 
You could also try on the Facebook group in English if you’re a member of FB (if not, you could become one, just to be able to post there).
And you can vote on the reversed heart topic, because that’s what you need.
