Greetings from Scotland

Hi, I’m Jane and I live in the Highlands of Scotland.

My husband and I are semi-retired and we’ve been HE members since 2017. I’m a home exchange Ambassador. Over the years we have been privileged to meet and share our home with lots of wonderful people. We love learning about different cultures and have completed over 70 exchanges.

I especially like to be near the sea… and John loves to play golf… anywhere!

Hi Jane and welcome Here. Where do you plan to take your full Time retirement ? If the forum is a success, maybe we will need more hands to moderate it

Hi, Pauline here from Edinburgh, been with He for many years and love it! I also exchange with my house by the sea in beautiful Sardinia. We are retired couple and just love this community and sharing our experiences and house exchanges worldwide! Looking forward to many more exchanges worldwide

Hello!
Your place in Mexico sounds lovely! What is your listing #

Thank you for your reply and sorry for the late reply, its no a listing yet because its full time rented but soon will be but I can send dome pictures on just wait until winter to release it, will be able to exchange for January 2025.

we can speak after it.

I would like to visit Scotland since my Dad was born there in 1945. I even now have my passport… but I don’t really know where to start. I like beaches, warm weather, quaint towns, quaint restaurants with local food and decor. Any suggestions? I definitely need to visit Kilmarnock. Apparently there is a famous church there where all of my grandparents and generations before them were married at. Do you know the name of the church?

Our home in Alicante is available this week or during summer next year. In addition, we will soon be listing another apartment right in front of the sea — a perfect spot for beach lovers.

Alicante is also an excellent destination for both golf and the beach. My husband is a golfer, so we’d be happy to share recommendations about the best courses nearby. https://www.homeexchange.com/homes/view/2833669

It is a lovely country! There is a post about Scotland here in our "Destinations” section that you might find helpful. Or please do feel free to create a new post asking for advice if you’d prefer. I think the church is called New Laigh Kirk, situated in the centre of Kilmarnock.

If you want some ideas, I’ve made a 2 weeks trip in Scotland in April 2024, with 3 different 5 nights gp exchanges. One in Inverness, one on North west Coast and one near Edinburgh to finish.

I’ve made a long testimony on a French travel forum. Your web browser should be able to translate what I’ve wrote and there is 500 pictures inside
