It would be very nice if we would be able to make folders in our inbox, which we could name ourselves and to which we would be able to move conversations.
For example, I often search with the same criteria and then homes come up and I’ve already had a converstaion with the owners. I have to read the whole conversation again to see what we talked about. Having folders like “not interested in coming to our home”; “maybe want to swap after 2026”, etc. would save me a lot of time.
Yes, yes, yes please! I would love to be able to organise correspondence in HE. Various use cases:
Seperate the incoming requests from my outgoing requests
Organise my outgoing requests base don the holiday/destination (currently I’m planning two holidays, it would be great if my requests were in two seperate folders)
Mark certain discussions for ‘maybe next year’, so I can easily find them when making next year’s plans
This would really make using HE a lot easier!
Hi! Is there an update for this request? I am trying to organise my summer and fall holidays, and would like to keep the maybes and serious discussions in seperate folders, per holiday, to keep track and not forget about responding to them. The current lack of organisation makes it hard to keep track of these seperate plans.
Here’s hoping it will be picked up!
I hope that Melissa will respond to this question. However, only 3 persons have voted for my suggestion. You can vote, too, but it’s not very obvious where. I think you click on the arrow next to “Folders for messages”.
Just wanted to let you know that I have created a small Chrome extension called Better Inbox for HomeExchange, that adds the following functionalities for the inbox:
folders,
trusts metrics (one click and you can see the trust from the inbox)
private notes,
mark conversation as read/unread
filter by dates
It’s free, there’s no account needed, no login. I just wanted something I could use, made it and published it.
Not sure if links are allowed, but if you search for HomeExchange in the Chrome web store, you’ll find it.
Since you say it’s free and it would help HomeExchange members, I am sure it will be allowed. If I am mistaken, your post will simply not be approved, but I think it will. I would like it very much!
