ok, yes I know it’s requested for years as a moderator on the facebook groups where it’s often requested by some members yes. but in fact it has never been a top priority for the staff cause only 15% of swappers use favorites feature for the last stats I had as an ambassador.
no need to do anything more, it’s the right place to add your opinion anyway, Zann who manages this forum can add a vote for it in the requested features.
Do you know that at least now you can see your favorites homes on your map when doing a research ? It’s a first thing
Maybe only 15% swappers use the favorites feature because at present it’s not really worth using it. I add homes to favourites but then, when I search for a travel, it’s not really useful. I would really use them if we had folders. And I would also love to be able to write a personal comment on every house I have in my favourites, it would be really helpful.
I really don’t think it’s fair or appropriate to reference what a previous owner of the company did, or may have done. Things are different now and it’s not realistic to expect the ‘owner’ to respond individually and immediately.
“probably one day”? I guess that means that this is not a priority for HE or not even something you are actually working on? This is the main reason me and many more consider leaving HE since it’s way too frustrating and time consuming. Agree with illopart, it’s not worth using Favorites as is functions now.
I don’t work for HomeExchange I’m just a volunteer. For now it’s not a priority no. But tonight we learned that in early 2025 you should be able to launch a search and see only your favorite homes ( not folders but that’s a first step)
There are many reasons why only 15% use Favourites. One of them is definitely that one foresees ending up with a long disorganized list.
A second reason, which hasn’t been mentioned is the fact that when I put a home in My Favourites, H.Ex. sends a notification to that member which he/she keeps seeing for years. I don’t agree. I consider “My Favourites” as “One Day in the Future” as Annette mentioned in the opening post.
I don’t want the other member to think that I am seriously interested in organizing an exchange in the next months! Why shouldn’t I be able to keep my own PRIVATE list of favourite homes? (only for future reference).

I have asked for this before and I know others have.
We used to have this before the merger. It was very helpful and I could also arrange the homes in each folder in order that I was going to contact them.
