ok, yes I know itās requested for years as a moderator on the facebook groups where itās often requested by some members yes. but in fact it has never been a top priority for the staff cause only 15% of swappers use favorites feature for the last stats I had as an ambassador.
no need to do anything more, itās the right place to add your opinion anyway, Zann who manages this forum can add a vote for it in the requested features.
Do you know that at least now you can see your favorites homes on your map when doing a research ? Itās a first thing
Maybe only 15% swappers use the favorites feature because at present itās not really worth using it. I add homes to favourites but then, when I search for a travel, itās not really useful. I would really use them if we had folders. And I would also love to be able to write a personal comment on every house I have in my favourites, it would be really helpful.
I really donāt think itās fair or appropriate to reference what a previous owner of the company did, or may have done. Things are different now and itās not realistic to expect the āownerā to respond individually and immediately.

This is the main reason me and many more consider leaving HE since itās way too frustrating and time consuming. Agree with illopart, itās not worth using Favorites as is functions now.
I donāt work for HomeExchange Iām just a volunteer. For now itās not a priority no. But tonight we learned that in early 2025 you should be able to launch a search and see only your favorite homes ( not folders but thatās a first step)
There are many reasons why only 15% use Favourites. One of them is definitely that one foresees ending up with a long disorganized list.
A second reason, which hasnāt been mentioned is the fact that when I put a home in My Favourites, H.Ex. sends a notification to that member which he/she keeps seeing for years. I donāt agree. I consider āMy Favouritesā as āOne Day in the Futureā as Annette mentioned in the opening post.
I donāt want the other member to think that I am seriously interested in organizing an exchange in the next months! Why shouldnāt I be able to keep my own PRIVATE list of favourite homes? (only for future reference).

We used to have this before the merger. It was very helpful and I could also arrange the homes in each folder in order that I was going to contact them.
Agreed. I specifically logged onto the suggestion box to request that the favorite homes category has the ability to make folders as well be searchable with filters. In itsā current iteration, favorite homes almost becomes unusable. Personally I find the only real value the favorites category provides is getting email notifications when a favorite home has updated their calendar.
