Hi Folks. I’ve been trying to reach out to home owners in Edinburgh. Is there a way to send a message, to communicate with someone without specific dates for an exchange? Messages I’ve tried to send just say that the home is unavailable.

Are you also new to HomeExchange? When searching for an exchange you can enter ‘flexible dates’ into the search. You will then be shown homes that are available during the period that you searched for. For example if you search for homes in Edinburgh in the month of December, you will be shown homes that might be available only for the first week in December, or the last 2 weeks etc. If you know which dates you would like to travel then it would be better to enter those dates at the start of your search. That way you will only be given suitable homes in your search results.
Or, if you don’t have set dates and just want to know if they will have you one day in te furute, you can select dates that the home is available and put in the message you’re inquiring in general. However, members don;t always like this.
I think it would be good to be able to approach homes without selecting dates, but I am afraid this will not be feasible for homes that are often requested.
