Changing a booking

Hello. I am new to HE and am struggling.
A host and I confirmed an exchange and my points were deducted.
I realised that I needed to extend by one day. I modified the booking and 30 hours later, he still could not see the modification request. He asked me to cancel the exchange and request it again. I cancelled it so that I could book it again with the correct dates.
My problem is that my points haven’t been returned to me and his calendar still remains full.
My question is: how long will it take for the points to be restored to me and for his calendar to be corrected so that I can request an exchange for the correct dates?

Progress report. My host’s calendar has now been cleared but my points haven’t been returned to me. He has invited me to book on the correct dates but I now don’t have sufficient points. What to do?

Hello, I’ve edited your post to place it in the correct category which you need to choose each time you post. This post belongs under ’ Community/ Ask your questions.
When you have a problem on the site you should either use the chat on the site to ask for advise, or contact member service through the contact form on the site.
If the changes you tried to make weren’t visible to the host and you both wished to make a new request its the host that should have cancelled rhe exchange and not you the guest. When a guest cancels an exchange the host isnt obliged to return the points. Its his decision and he has control over this on the site. Ask the host to return your points so that you can start the process again. If he doesn’t return them you can contact member service.

Thank you for that info. I have asked him and will let you know. He is being very kind but we are struggling.
