These days, I was looking for a place to go skiing in April in Europe. Once again, I’ve wasted a lot of time doing so because the MOUNTAIN filter is totally useless for this purpose. I think it wouldn’t take much to add SKI to the other filters already existing (city, lake, mountain, river, etc.), and it would make the search so much easier. Especially because, in addition, the maps on HE, when searching a place by map, are not very good, to put it mildly, and you need to compare a map from a search engine (Google, Viamichelin, etc.) with HE’s map to start locating them.
Moreover, the HE town search engine doesn’t locate them in many cases, because it doesn’t recognize the ski resorts, only the villages they are attached to. For example, for “Les 2 Alpes,” you have to search for it as Venosc; Val Thorens, and Méribel, two of the largest resorts in the Alps, can only be found by searching for the town of Les Belleville, and so on. Yes! What a great idea. After searching myself for a ski resort last year it can be a challenge. It can be hard to find a ski exchange and I agree this could help. I’ll certainly feed this back to the team. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas on the Forum 
We have a house by the Superstition Mountains and have had requests is there skiing by us but we never get snow so it would be useful to rule out places like ours where mountains doesn’t mean skiing. Not sure if it would have to be in the ski area, you would have to be clear about that.
Yes, the ski filter should have to be only for homes in ski resorts.
Yes, this! We love our beach house in the winter, but want to enjoy a month of shussing the slopes in exchange for those who want a break from the snow at the beach!

It would make things so much easier. I went to Andorra for a week and had such a great time but the pain was to actually find the place. It was so difficult to search for available homes that were near a ski resort, within our available dates. I had to go one by one and search for the house, check on Maps to see if it was actually close to the ski lifts, etc A filter would make this a lot easier and it’s not hard to implement (I think).

I would encourage a filter to know if the house is Ski in/out as well.

The ski season is starting, but we still don’t have the ski filter on HE. I know you passed this request on to the HE team, and I’m wondering if you know what happened with it — whether it’s going to be implemented soon or if it has been forgotten. Sorry to insist, but it would be so easy to add just one more icon in the “Surroundings” section for a ski resort, and it would save us so many hours of searching on HE! That would be the perfect Christmas gift from HE for the ski lovers in the community — and there are quite a few of us among HE users!
To be more precise, once we exchanged in an Italian village were it was written in the listing and confirmed by the host that we could ski.
We could ski indeed but is was ski de fond only.

Sooo it in in the pipeline, but not in time for Christmas i’m afraid. 
If it is implemented by September 2026, so that we can start looking for where to ski during the 2026 Christmas holidays, that would already be sufficient.
