.The same thing is happening to us! I hope HE listens to us and fixes this injustice. I want to believe they didnât realize the inflation theyâre creating and, therefore, the devaluation theyâve caused to all the points accumulated by users for future exchanges
Agreed. Thanks for raising this. Hope that HE amend this to stop existing points being devalued.
I am extremely disappointed in this. I have accumulated 20000 points by diligently renting my apartment. Now suddenly all prices increased twice! I understand this, but how about increasing the value of points that are already accumulated? This is very unfair to existing homeowners. If this is not changed or adjusted, I will be using my points and leaving Home Exchange. This was NOT anticipated!
Yes, it feels like a total rip off!
If I may, you should not use words like âpricesâ and ârentingâ. Itâs not renting, and we Ask members to be careful on those words cause some Authorities already confuse HomeExchange and STR so itâs better to use the correct words ", like gp values and welcomed Guests
Whatever words I choose, the point remains the same. The points I diligently âaccumulatedâ for letting people live in my apartment have now devalued. I feel Home Exchange just confiscated them from me without giving me any chose. I am beyond disappointed!
Yes thatâs not the same problem, but this forum is public so itâs an important thing to keep in mind. Regarding your opinion, not at all homes have more gp, it depends , some got lower for example. The staff will monitor this during 6 months anyway and it might still evolve.
Etienne,
The problem is that your answer is not supported by hard data.
How many homes have more GP value?
How many homes have less GP value?
How many homes have same GP value?
What is the average increase (or decrease) in GP value across all 250,000+ homes?
The HE Staff could determine the answers to these questions in minutes. Any competent software developer could run a few simple SQL queries against the Homes database and receive and report the answers quickly.
The fact that it hasnât been done or reported to the members is more of a marketing or customer satisfaction decision rather than a work-effort issue.
Sure they have all those datas, I donât have all of this personnaly. The staff told us for now the average value of all homes have raise of only 9gp. And they will monitor it during several months and adjust again if necessary.
Thank you for giving us the number (9 GP). It is indeed a small number and probably means that the devaluation of memberâs current GP total is not severe. It would have been a good idea for the âstaffâ or the insiders such as yourself to inform the community of this fairly small number 3 weeks ago, given the alarm that the issue has raised in the membership.
And giving it here in this thread is probably not the only place it should be. I suggest that it should be stated as a new post in the âNEWSâ category.
