Welcome tag for new members on forum

I’d like to suggest new members on forum get a tag to their first post, visible to fellow members. I’ve seen this on other forums.

Like if :NewUser: post for the first time, we get a message like “This is the first post of :NewUser: - let’s give a welcome!”

It could even be another one “NewUser hasn’t posted in a while - welcome back!”

It will make it easier to encourage each other to acknowledge the contribution of others. At least for myself, I used to try to welcome new members, but many of us won’t know unless we are told. Makes it more friendly and encourage participation.

It already exists Tailwag.

When members post for the 1st time, it is written that it is the 1st X is posting and to welcome her/him.

The message is placed above their post.

Exemple :

C’est la première fois que GBCARCH98 publie un message. Assurons-lui un accueil chaleureux dans notre communauté !

I see - it wasn’t clear to me whether that was related to the topic or to the actual first post of a new member.

Then my suggestion is to make it clearer - as in this example:

Because I do not get up the text that you have in French under the post (the tag in my pic is a tag to this thread we’re in here)

My set up is in French so it’s normal to have it in French and you in English.

You got the right tag.
