HE has translation facilities available. On exchange requests it is automatically available but not on listings or on posts on this forum. One has to copy and paste the text into one’s own translation app to view them. Would it not be possible to make translation more widely (universally?) available in HE?

Are you using HomeExchange on your mobile device? Translations on listings is possible on the site version but not on our apps at the moment unfortunately as it seems more complicated to get it going on the apps but it’s something we’re looking to fix as soon as possible 
About translations on the forum, let me check and get back to you as soon as possible!
In the menu of your Chrome browser (3 vertical dots in top right of the page) you can select ‘Translate’ and then it asks for a language to translate to. The entire page will be translated.

But only if the indicated language in the header 
corresponds with the actual language of the description 
… I often see listings where people have added their own translation but forget to indicate in what langage it is, and then there is no automatic translation avalable;
In the HE FAQ there is a clear explanation how to add descriptions in other languages.
Good thing is that the Chrome browser also has a translation option for the entire page in more languages than you can imagine… As an example this is the translation of the above description into Swahili;

Thanks for the clarification of the difference between use in the App and the site version. I mainly use the App, but will switch to the site version if translation is needed.
