"Refuse & block the dates" button: One-Click calendar block (host)

Hi,

You may receive several requests and you have no availability on those dates. This happens to many of us living in big cities, of course.
And maybe you are busy and don’t habe time to update the calendar at every situation change.

If we would have a feature where the host could block the specific dates straight away from by clicking an extra button on the request that they get, it would be much quicker to have the calendar updated.

Thanks
Luca

We can block dates in our calendar. People select other dates and just send messages. I don’t think adding this feature would prevent that either.

I know really well that we can block dates. My feature request is about “one click” block for the specific dates requested.
A useful feature that many other accomodation platforms have.
Please read properly my feature request.

I am sorry, I have read your request several times but I don’t think I really understand what you mean. I am rarely on other platforms, only sometimes for one night stays, for I spend all my holidays in homes of HE.

However, for me personally, I don’t think a blocking the dates feature would help, for I don’t get too many requests - I am always so on time with sending requests, that my holidays are arranged before most others start sending requests. And if I do get a request for dates that don’'t work, I always try to see wether a swap could work another time. If not, I send a message why not.

But if you’re in a very popular place (which I am not), maybe this would be helpfull.

It would be an extra button that you click when you refuse a request: “refuse and block the dates”.

In big cities, many hosts get loads of requests and are frustrated, some may decide not to use HomeExchange anymore because of this.

Yes, blocking the calendar manually does not take much time, but why not make it quicker and smoother for everyone to have updated calendars?
This way, also guests will spam less not available hosts.
