Hello! We are a friendly family from Rennes, Brittany, France, seeking a house exchange for the 2026/2027 school year. Our goal is to give our two children, aged 5 and 9, the opportunity to live in Ireland, attend a local school, and immerse themselves in Irish culture and language. We are ideally looking for a welcoming town or city in Ireland with good schools and community amenities nearby.
Do you know anyone who might be interested?
Or maybe you have some tips on how to find these kinds of opportunities? We’ve been searching on different platforms for a while now but haven’t had much luck.

Thank you very much for your feedback, Susan. I found several groups on Facebook. Do you know if any particular group is more active than the others?
There are 3 official groups, English, French and Spanish. They are all active, you can post on any / all of them. You need to ask to join if you’re a subscribed member of HE. Requests are approved on Sundays.
