When we do a search for homes using the platform’s search function, we get a list of home photos which satisfy the search criteria. If we have previously contacted a member whose home is on the list, there is a label “Already Contacted” superimposed on the photo of the home. The label is not a link; in other words, it is not possible to click the “Already Contacted” label and see the previous conversation that happened with that member.
I propose that the HE Product Team create a new feature that allows a member to click on the “Already Contacted” label. This would display the messaging screen and the actual conversation which happened in the past with the other member.
The reason that this is useful is that sometimes in past conversations, there was a good connection between the members and they are both interested in a future exchange, but at the time of the initial contact, the timing or other circumstances were not quite right. It would be useful in a future search to see these situations and be able to immediately go to the conversation details to see whether it is worthwhile to re-open communications with that member.
Currently, it can be a long laborious process to find such old conversations. One must go to the home description or member profile, find the member’s name, go to the search function of the messaging system, and type in the member’s name. The messaging system will bring up a list of previous messages from members whose names are similar (or contain) the name of the member name which is being searched. Sometimes there are dozens of names in the displayed list making the task of finding the correct conversation time-consuming.
