The way your listing is written is key to finding or being contacted for the exchange of your dreams.
To catch people’s attention, I suggest you:
- Update your favourites to include Lyon, to show that you’re looking in that city and to ensure your listing appears higher up in reverse searches.
- Change the title to ‘Long-term exchange in Lyon from August 2026 to March 2027, simultaneous or non-simultaneous or GP’.
- Describe what you’re looking for right at the start of the listing and in your favourite destinations.
- Open up the calendar if simultaneous or non-simultaneous reciprocal exchanges or GP exchanges are possible,
- Set a minimum duration of 30, 60 or 90 days (tourist visas are limited to 90 days).
This shows, even before clicking on the listing, that you are looking for a long-term exchange.
It’s also a good idea to be fairly flexible to maximise your chances.
Would you be willing to do 2 or 3 exchanges in a row? Or to do non-simultaneous exchanges?
If so, make sure to mention it.
