The ongoing Instagram contest to win a free annual membership or renewal, for members in North America, excludes Québec !!
That is great recognition when one considers that Québec was recently close behind France as regions with the highest proportions of subscribers. We know that Québec’s anti-fraud and consumer protection laws are very strict with respect to online competitions. But then, why hold this contest at all, were there no other creative options? (Thumbs down)
Hi Denise!
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your opinion with us!
As you’ve mentioned, Quebec laws on contests (such as registration with the Régie and mandatory translation of rules) make organizing them on social media particularly complex. This contest in particular is aimed at boosting our English-speaking audience on the English-speaking account, notably users in the USA and English-speaking part of Canada.
Of course, this in no way calls into question the importance of the Quebec community for HomeExchange, and we hope to include Quebec in future initiatives. And as a Qeubecois, you might find the @homeexchangefr account more relavant for you
Thank you for your understanding and support!
