Hello everyone !
I’m Etienne, primary teacher in my early 40s. I live in Normandy, North-West of France between the towns of Rouen & Le Havre, with my wife and 2 very lively boys :slight_smile:

I am a very experimented home exchanger, cause we’ve started 15 years ago and made already around 100 swaps in more than 20 countries, mainly in Europe.

On my spare time, I’m Homexchange volunteer ambassador for 10 years, answering on the livetchat, moderating Facebook groups and now this forum.

Hi Etienne. I’m an Ambassador too. And I will be visiting Normandy at the end of September at an exchange in Ouistreham. I can’t wait to see your part of the world!

Ouistreham is more mh part of the world than Etienne’s ! I’m near Caen, very close to Ouistreham:-)

thanks, it’s a little more west from my (150km) so I don’t get there very often, but it’s a nice area with a lot of history to see !

Its funny that we see distances so differently. In Canada, 150 km is not far at all!

Yes I know I came to Canada . but Here it’s quite far, all my daily life is Closer than this, and even to go out to cities, beaches, rivers, (+ work etc,) I have all Closer and less than 45mn around. Rouen is 500 thousands inhabitants and only 30mn from m’y home, Le Havre is 250 thousands and only 45mn on the other way, So the only reason to get there is for a long weekend to visit, or a special event ( The last Time I got there was for a meet up for HomeExchange but it was I Guess around 2018 something like this :slight_smile: ).
