Disable Auto Search On World Map

Auto search should be disabled when I move the map when searching. VRBO.com has this ability. When I search for New Zealand for example and then try to zoom in to get a better look, the website goes into search mode and zooms out to view the entire world map. Then all I see is one dot in New Zealand on a map of the entire world. This happens on the Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox browsers. If I have the option to disable auto search, I’ll be able to zoom into the location I want to look at and then select “Search here” to reveal home exchanges in my area of interest without getting zoomed out.

You can already do this when you’re searching on the website.

I’m talking about the map itself. Sometimes one might want to browse a specific country on the map not in the search bar. I would like the option to turn off the auto-search function in the map, find a location of interest and then click “Search Here”. VRBO offers this functionality. As I stated above, whenever I try to zoom into New Zealand location say, the map zooms out to a worldview and I can’t stay where I want. This occurs in Edge, Firefox and Chrome so it’s not due to my computer. Turn off the auto-search.
