Our small house is in the village of Le Gua, we are part of the Alpes and down the Vercors, 20 km south from Grenoble. The place is not very well know but there are lots of things to do, if you enjoy nature, walking in the mountains, close to lakes or visiting picturesque villages from Trièves… We even have a beautiful waterfall 5 mn walk from the house.
We’d be delighted to welcome you to discover our region in April or August as we will be already on holidays elsewhere : Paris from April 19 to 28 - Prag from July 28 to August 10 - Arles from August 13 to 18 !
Hi Laurence, I had a look at your profile and I would love to swap with you in the future! Your home and it’s surroundings look very appealing; we would enjoy sitting in your garden with the splendid views; we always like going to the mountains; it’s fantastic that you are so near a waterfall; I would definitely try that suspension bridge (tow of our children wouldn’t, they are afraid of heights); and we would love the companion of Schopy. We had a cat, but she died last year and we miss her. 
So I put your home in my favorites (or maybe I already did once? I am a bit tired, it may be that I already did that earlier 
).
All our holidays are already arranged for this year 
, so we will not be able to come for guest points. However, maybe you would like to swap with us some day? Maybe summer of 2026? 
We would be with four persons, my husband and I and our two sons(who will then technically both be adults), or maybe five or six, if our sons have girlfriends then. Just one bath room would be fine, some of us like to shower in the morning, other in the evening.
We live in Groningen, the north of the Netherlands. We also have a lot of books, English ones too, mainly detectives/thrillers, but also an occasional comic book. Our home is bigger than yours (but of course, we set the points at zero for mutal swaps), so you, and if you would want to bring your children, all can have a bed room of your own. Your children could even bring partners, though we don’t have three double beds, just two. But enough sleeping places. (But not enough space on our couch though, I just realise. But we do have chairs.) We have a smart tv and five (!) streaming channels, that you would be able to use. We love hiking as well and can tell you all the good hiking places in our environment.

Hi Trenke, thank you for your very nice message. We have already been to the Netherlands but not that part, so yes, we could be very much interested for summer 2026, though it is a bit early to decide. As for going on holidays with our daughters, it is even more difficult to say… they might decide that at the last minute… but now we mainly travel the 2 of us.
Yes we like going to the waterfall, even our cat sometimes comes with us ! And there is a small river going under the house ! This is why during the summer the temperatures are not so high as in Grenoble… The suspension bridges are definitely one of the favorite attractions from our visitors as well as walking around the lake or doing watersport on it as it can be very windy (kitesurfing…). Let’s get in touch !
