hi all! Can I see somewhere a breakdown of number of listings per country? Asking this because we decided to visit Japan and after looking on HE Japan I understand this is not worth even looking for! hardly any listings and listings that are available are asking 30 nights, so not even going to to try. The point is to see which countries have high number of listings, outside of Europe (and Thailand and Bali) to chose a better suitable HE destination. thanks

Yes it’s actually super easy to do…once you know how. You just need to type the destination into the search bar on the main page of the HE website. Don’t enter any dates or the number of travellers, and it will come up with all of the homes in that country/area. So Japan for example is currently 122 homes. Compare this to France which has 3,444, or Italy which has 7,910. I think however the max of results is 10,000 (even if there are more homes) as the USA and France both show 10,000 for example.

No i’m not aware that there is this information available as the numbers change all the time as new members join.
understand the changes, but would be good to see for example data per end of the year. Maybe to be considered by HE.
