Automatic refusal responses - are they impacting responsively from hosts?

Hi,

Is anyone else noticing that host responsively has decreased since the automatic refusal process has been in place?

I’m a very responsive host myself and have hosted many exchanges, but in the last few weeks I’ve noticed that responsiveness to my home exchange requests is really low.

Cheers
Tracey

For now the auto refusal has no impact on answering rate, it will in the next update which is arriving in the next few weeks

Sorry Etienne,

I think you may have misunderstood my post. I have noticed that since the auto decline rule came into place, many hosts are not replying to my requests at all. Instead they appear to be relying on the auto reject function to respond on their behalf.

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed the same thing.

I don’t have any infos on this. It will evolve soon anyway

As @Etienne has mentioned there will soon be a change to how the response rate is calculated. Soon it will take into account the auto-declines and members may be more inclined to reply to requests themselves rather than waiting for the auto-decline. Don’t forget that this is a very busy time of year for a lot of people, lots of people on holiday, schools finishing for the summer etc. It is possible that you are experiencing low responses due to this.

School finishing is only in the UK if I right, all other countries in Europe are in holidays for a while

Yes that’s correct, but if she’s noticed this over the past few weeks/month it could be a factor maybe?
