Aina is my HomeExchanger of the year. For the childhood joy and the heart she left behind.

Meeting with Aina and her parents.
Arrivals and departures from HomeExchange are always very exciting. Hear who I will meet and what it will be like in the new drought. This is very important to me.
In August 2024, I expected my family to arrive from Majorca. I was afraid they might not like it. Because how does Majorca compare to a small town in Poland? The attraction is the river, forest, peace and few people. Is this enough for people with a nine-year-old child?
My children now have children of their own and still come here. There is peace here, they are cut off from the problems of everyday life. Forest, river, space and nature do their job. Are my guests from Majorca also available? They arrived at the agreed time in the evening. I always welcome my guests and this time it was the same. They had a cold night - it was 12C, and in Majorca it was 40C. The difference in temperature caused them to run home and little Aina was shaking.
The house was warm and the fire in the fireplace was jumping cheerfully. Upstairs in the bedrooms, Aina quickly chose a bed and jumped up and down happily. She was already warm and forgot about the cold. She saw books, familiar games and toys. Despite the difficulties of the journey, everyone was happy and smiling. I knew then that they would be happy with their stay. This wonderful, warm family has acclimatized very well to our community. Everyone loved them, without any recommendations from me. They really liked it too. Aina made friends with her peers. I know they are still there and are very warm. I am sending photos of letters left by Aida and her parents. They are very touching and beautifully crafted. The heart they left for me will always beat for me and will remain in my memory. I hope that we will meet again.
