West of Ireland calling?

Hello! We’ve just joined Home Exchange to offer our very modern 4 bedroom second home in Cloghane, on the beautiful Dingle Peninsula in Co. Kerry, Ireland.

We live in Dublin most of the year but have been holidaying in this part of Kerry for over 15 years with our children, who are now young adults. It’s a great destination for anyone who loves the outdoors and wants to experience a quieter, less touristy side of Ireland. In a single week you could hike or cycle mountains directly from the house, kitesurf/windsurf/foil/surf along almost 20km of beach, paddleboard with local seals, fish from shore or by boat, play golf at the nearby links course, or enjoy a (cold!) sea swim followed by a wood sauna. A pint of Guinness and traditional Irish music in small village pub, then home to a warm, cosy modern house with spectacular views in every direction.

The area is well known to Irish visitors eho come mainly in summer and also attracts international travellers exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. It has a very relaxed vibe and feels quite different from the more developed tourism of Ring of Kerry, Killarney, or Kenmare.

The house isn’t available in summer as we are there at that time, but May and September are possible which are two of the best months to visit weather wise.

if you’ve any questions about our house, the area or visiting Ireland generally I’d be happy to try and help!
